Drifting upward
Gently lifting
Lazy on the wind
Rolling over
Turning slowly
Beginning and the end
Fire is bright
Fire is clean
Never so alive
Smoke is freedom
Flame is mercy
I am free tonight
And I burn
I burn
Stoke the embers
Cleanse the spirit
A prayer in every spark
Feel the lick of
Bad religion
The finish and the start
In the beginning
We were smarter
'n flame was heaven-sent
Through the ages
We got stupid
Now we must repent
And I burn
I burn
Save the ashes
For reminders
Stony things remain
Tooth and bone
unimpressive
I have left these things
Because fire is bright
Fire is clean
efficient and divine
Tooth and bone
Charms and dolls
I am free tonight
I BURN
THE AIR
YOU BREATHE
I BURN
THE AIR
YOU BREATHE
I BURN
THE AIR
YOU BREATHE
I burn
I burn
I burn
Too many puppies are being shot in the dark.
Too many puppies are trained not to bark.
At the sight of blood that must be spilled so that
We may maintain our oil fields.
Too many puppies
Too many puppies are taught to heal.
Too many puppies are trained to kill.
On the command of men wearing money belts that buy
Mistresses sleek animal pelts.
Too many puppies.
Too many puppies with guns in their hands.
Too many puppies in foreign lands.
Are dressed up sharp in suits of green and
Placed upon the war machine.
Too many puppies are just like me.
Too many puppies are afraid to see.
The visions of the past brought to life again,
Too many puppies, too many dead men.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is hearing testimony from Bush's former political director
Sara M. Taylor, who has obeyed his instructions and declined to answer Congress' questions
Wednesday about her role in the firings of federal prosecutors. Nice! Thank you again Mr.
Bush for the transparency you have brought to this administration. The house is also
interested in hearing testimony from Harriet Miers, though the Bush administration has
instructed Ms. Miers to ignore the subpoena.
Email or call your reps and let them know that this is not acceptable. The administration,
just as you or I, needs to be accountable for its actions.

Ask your reps to invoke 'Inherent Contempt' since its the only of the three
contempt proceedings that doesn't have to go through the Justice Department.
The text below is taken from the congressional oversight manual.
It's a pretty good read if you have some time to kill.
While the threat or actual issuance of a subpoena normally provides
sufficient leverage to ensure copliance, it is through the contempt of power, or
its threat, that Congress may act with ultimate force in response to actions that
obstruct the legislative process in order to punish the contemnor and/or to remove the
obstruction. The Supreme Court early recognized the power as an inherent attribute of
Congress's legislative autority, reasoning that if it did not posses this power, it
"would be exposed to every indignity and interruption that rudeness, caprice or even
conspiracy may mediate against it."
